Colonial claims: British possessions are in yellow; French possessions in pink; French possessions in pink; Belgian in orange; German in green; Portuguese in purple; Italian in striped pink; Spanish in striped orange; independent Ethiopia in brown. Note: This map is a strange mix. For example, according to the situation of the Belgian Congo and the Lado enclave, the correct period should be between November 1908 and 1910. The occupation of Lybia by Italy started in 1911, and the the colony was established in 1912.
